Canyon Bank wants to become involved from a communication

Eagle Crest want to be involved with Council communications. Mark Miller wants to send
postcards or mailer to residents to inform and promote. Catalina Community Services has
afforded us to use their permit.
Village Council information for phone number and website in
Catalina Directory. What do we
want to do as far as correspondence?
Title companies have mailing lists. Ann Rodriquez, the Recorder, may have lists. Probably best to get lists by zip
code – on line? What do we want to achieve – publishing website,
meetings, email addresses, letting them know we’re here. Target middle of January. Bulk mail will probably cost about
$250 for about 12,000 pieces.
What do we want on the postcard or mailer? Website – future of Catalina? – Oro
Valley is coming – what are we going
to do about it. Do you
want to be part of Oro Valley?
Ten days before meeting.
Community Center, extended library. We will talk to the community
about what Catalina needs and wants.
Invite Oro Valley Mayor and Ann Day and State Land Trust
representative to discuss Oro Valley annexation. Mark Miller will invite these three
individuals this month to
provide enough lead time.
- FINANCE-MARK MILLER – Got
postage from Catalina Community Services. Contact ProNeighborhood to attempt to place grant. Mark Miller has too much on his
plate. Mark Kendall will attempt
to work on filling out the form.
This is due quarterly and time due is coming up.
- LONG RANGE PLANNING- TOMMY
TUCKER – Tommy handed out meeting with Oro Valley information sheet to
council members. We should talk
to State Land Trust dept before discussing with Oro Valley.
- ART- KRISTIE FOSS – Would
like to get rid of “art committee” title. Would rather be a “Catalina Public Relations”
committee. Mark Kendall will
get in touch with Linda Allen so they can get together to promote arts
and such. -
- AGENDA FOR UPCOMING SESSION –
Update on regional park – Park Manager (will find out name later) –
Sheriff representative – fireman – old/new business for future
action. Should possibly get
Green Valley organizational structure head??? They have a President –
maybe we could have him speak at one of our meetings. Kristie will find out names. May be listed on website.
- OLD/NEW BUSINESS FOR FUTURE
ACTION JoAnne Given the Annual
Reports from the Arizona corporate commission for safe keeping. Will place in her safe. JoAnne made motion letting Diane Hall
know that we’re resigning her, seconded by Sue – motion carried unanimously.
